Dietary Aide

We are looking for a part-time dietary aide to prepare and serve food to residents in our facility. You will deliver dishes and ensure good sanitary conditions in kitchen and dining areas. You must be capable of preparing food following instructions while adhering to all safety and health standards. 

 

We are seeking candidates who are efficient and conscientious with a customer-oriented approach. Our goal is to provide excellent food service while following sanitary standards.

 

Responsibilities

• Set up tables or other dining areas with attention to cleanliness and order

• Wash dishes with the dish machine and put them away

• Deliver dishes and trays at designated times to resident rooms

• Ability to follow recipes for baked goods, salads and other side items

• Take down dining areas and collect plates, glasses etc. after meals

• Discard leftovers and take out garbage

• Clean food stations and wash dishes, cooking vessels and silverware

• Stock inventory

• Help maintain kitchen equipment and appliances
   

Skills

• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines

• Friendly with good communication skills

• Good physical condition and stamina

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food services is a plus
   

Job Type: Part-time, 3 days a week; additional hours may be available
 

Position Schedule:  Morning shift, 6:00 am – 2:00 pm
 

Pay: Starting wage $15.00 per hour; additional pay for experience in food service
 

Work Location: In person @ Bethany Home
